You can download the app and simply upload the pictures of the front and the back of your check into a bank account or into a money market. The service is 100% free. To use this service, you need to open an account with them.
4. IngoMoney app
IngoMoney is another free app that allows personal cheque cashing online. It is provided by the First Century Bank, N.A. It is the best for cashing payroll checks. When using this app, you must link it with at least a bank account, a PayPal account or to a prepaid card where your money will be deposited after the check clears. With this app, you can cash almost any type of check instantly.
They can, in addition, allow you to split the cash amount, fund several diverse accounts and buy an Amazon gift card. The app charges a standard 2% fee for all payroll and government-issued checks that have a pre-printed signature. It, however, charges a 5% for all other checks accepted with a minimum fee of $5 per check. The app also has a free option that allows the user to access their funds in 10 days once approved. The only downside of this app is that it is only available in the App store for Android users.
5. Boost Mobile Wallet
Boost Mobile wallet allows you to deposit checks and access your funds instantly on your Boost Mobile Wallet Prepaid Mastercard. It allows you to take a picture of both sides of your check using an Android phone.
You can use the Boost Mobile Wallet financial app services to pay 3,500 billers or more nationwide. It also gives you the option to transfer money to other users of the Boost Mobile app. It charges only $1.95 per month with a qualifying deposit.
6. Check Cashing store app
The Check Cashing store app allows you to make check deposits directly to your bank account or to your reloadable prepaid card. It also allows you to take photos of your check and upload to the app.
After you are done uploading the photos, the app notifies you when the check gets approved. The fees charged by this app are not disclosed to the public but you can always contact them to find out.
7. Waleteros mobile banking app
Waleteros mobile banking app allows you to cash your checks so as to transfer money to the Waleteros prepaid Visa to facilitate bill payments. The clients receive virtual cards once they sign up and credit check isn’t required. It offers the users a prepaid debit card. It charges no fee to sign up for the app or to get the card. With their pay per user plan, it does not charge a maintenance fee.
There may be other fees involved such as fees to check deposits, fees for PIN purchases, and card replacement fees. It is best used to help avoid overdrafts and monthly maintenance fees.

These are probably the most well-known and lowest cost options for instant online check cashing. Over the past few years, I’ve loved seeing a number of the large banks that allow for you to instantly cash a check online. Banks need to become more tech savvy to cater to a changing demographic and generation. The only problem with the large banks is that you need to be a current customer in order to instantly cash a check online with them. Here are some of the large, national banks allowing for instant deposits:
- Chase Bank: Chase is one of my favorite banks when it comes to tech-savvy. If you deposit the funds before 11 pm EST you will generally be able to access the fund the next business day. In some cases, there might be delays if the check is not properly uploaded into the system.
- Bank of America
For most of the other large banks outside of Chase, you have the same process for depositing checks online. You must have an account with each of the banks in order to deposit your check online.
The best part about the large, national banks is that they are 100% free and allow for instant access to your money. This is nearly an effortless way to deposit checks.
